Develop the skills that are necessary to safely, accurately and efficiently apply fertilizer and pesticides including the following

  • Safe operation of liquid floatation and post spray application equipment including controller setup and proper speed, nozzle size, and pressure required to apply the desired rate
  • Safe operation of dry fertilizer application equipment including controller setup to apply the desired rate
  • Calculating rates per acre to determine number of loads and amounts required per load
  • Proper loading and mixing procedures
  • Learn VRT file maintenance including loading, selecting, removing and saving electronic files
  • Follow proper maintenance procedures and schedules for application equipment
  • Follow all company polices and perform all assigned tasks in an efficient and safe manner
  • Keep all equipment and work areas neat and clean
  • Always represent and promote the company in a positive light
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor


  • Class A CDL, or willing to make an effort to obtain CDL within 90 days
  • Custom Applicator License, or willing to obtain license within 2 years
  • Good math skills
  • Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Work Authorization
