Fuel Transport Driver - New Philadelphia, OH


Location: New Philadelphia, OH

 

Position Overview: The principal responsibility of a transportation driver is to make deliveries of bulk and/or package petroleum and/or lubricant products to commercial and industrial accounts. This position requires an individual to operate transportation vehicles safely while delivering products to our customers in a professional manner.

Essential Job Functions

  • Deliver bulk (petroleum, grain or liquid fertilizer) products to customer sites while following compliance of state and federal regulations and all Company operational and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain truck and delivery logs in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Conduct required pre- and post-trip inspections and submit paperwork to appropriate personnel.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations.
  • Communicate customer needs and inquiries to appropriate departments for follow up.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Commercial drivers license (Class A) with HAZMAT endorsement and current DOT medical card.
  • Minimum two years of commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Experience performing housekeeping on trucks to maintain good working order, safe conditions, and cleanliness.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to maintain authorization to obtain fuel at loading racks as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain regulatory authorization (e.g., Transportation Worker Identification Credential through the Transportation Security Administration)

-- Applicants who hold a Class A CDL license and can obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment will also be considered.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently lift and/or move more than 75 lbs.
  • Required to stand, walk, reach, and hold.
  • Occasionally required to sit, crawl, stoop, kneel, climb, or balance.
  • Required to sit for long periods of time

Work Authorization
