The Milford Center Turf and Specialty Products Division plant was originally part of the purchase of The Ohio Grain Company in 1992. The branch is located on the south side of Milford Center on State Routes 4 and 36 and serves the lower half of Union County, western Champaign County and the northern portion of Madison County. Until recently the Milford Center facility served as an agronomy branch but is now our Turf and Specialty Products manufacuring and distribution facility and handles custom application for sod farms and golf courses, along with custom blends and specialty fertilizers and salt deicer products. The new salt barn was built in 2008 to warehouse salt for packaging and distribution.

Agronomy

The Turf and Specialty Products branch is staffed by four full-time employees, all of which are trained in the handling of turf chemicals and two who are qualified to provide custom application services. Both applicators receive yearly training in proper application techniques along with education on the newest technology. All employees have a Restricted Chemical License which is required for employees to handle pesticides as well as a Commercial Driver’s License.

  Our custom application equipment includes two dry units and two liquid spray units. One of these can be converted to handle either dry or liquid material.
