First-of-its-Kind Agronomy
Pheasants Forever has expanded its Precision Agriculture Initiative to Ohio with the recent hiring of Sarah Moore as a Precision Ag and Conservation Specialist. This first-of-its-kind partnership with Heritage Cooperative will have Moore working with the agricultural leader's staff and growers to integrate conservation practices on less profitable cropland acres, seeking solutions to both farm profitability and natural resource conservation.

In her main role, Moore will collaborate with Heritage Cooperative customers to provide on-farm conservation solutions by utilizing the Truterra™ Insights Engine – targeting return-on-investment (ROI) at a sub-field scale – to define areas where alternative crops and/or conservation practices are more profitable for producers than traditional row crops. Serving as a conservation expert for the greater region, Moore will use this data to foster and expand Heritage Cooperative’s public-private partnerships with farmers, crop consultants, state and federal conservation agencies, and other organizations. The position is highly focused on creating profitable and sustainable farming outcomes for central Ohio producers.
