Nov 05, 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UPPER SANDUSKY, OH – Nov 5, 2025 – Heritage Cooperative today announced plans to invest $11 million in a new, state-of-the-art agronomy facility in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, designed to enhance service, efficiency, and product availability for area farmers. The project will consolidate two existing Heritage locations in Wyandot County into one modern, high-capacity operation.

The new 27-acre site will feature a 3,500-ton dry fertilizer building, fully automated liquid fertilizer system, two 24/7 loadout bays, seed treater and warehouse, anhydrous ammonia storage, and a five-bay service shop. The upgrades will expand speed, capacity, and precision across fertilizer blending and crop protection delivery, while the new seed treatment system improves product quality and enables the use of newer formulations entering the market. The site will also include an H-Plot research area for agronomy product evaluation and development. The H-Plot will support internal trials and grower/community outreach, showcasing the latest product offerings and production practices.

“This project represents our commitment to local agriculture and to the long-term success of our member-owners,” said Jeremie Pennington, Regional Director at Heritage Cooperative. “By consolidating operations in a modern, efficient facility, we can serve customers faster, with enhanced safety, and with the precision today’s farming requires.”

Construction is currently underway, with the facility expected to be fully operational by spring 2027. Once completed, the new agronomy hub will increase Heritage’s capacity for fertilizer blending, seed treatment, and crop protection delivery, while improving logistics and safety for employees and customers alike.

“Modern agriculture requires modern infrastructure,” said Jeff Osentoski, President and CEO of Heritage Cooperative. “This investment strengthens our local presence and ensures we can continue supporting farmers in this region for decades to come.”

Heritage Cooperative has served the Wyandot County community for decades, and this project reaffirms its commitment to innovation, safety, and service to local agriculture.
